End times?

During my quiet time this morning I was journaling -turned to the happenings of the world. I wrote-‘well, seems there may be no question of us being near or in end times.’ When I was younger and having babies I would wonder if I or my children or grandchildren would be the generation  that would experience what’s been prophesied and speculated as the “end times.” Speculation of when, not if.

Honestly, I can’t say I’m anxious about it all, more of an anticipatory feeling. While I’ve said I’m unsure of what we may endure leading up to His return, I have to say I love the anticipation of Gods Word, once again showing us all (believers and non believers) that He said what He said and He has promised all of this and well, just look!

While I hear most say “but I’m not ready for this life to be over or I’m not ready to die. Well, is anyone ever? It may be that some of us will not have to endure that journey of death and dying, we may just have the absolute blessing of experiencing and seeing Jesus’ return. We may be blessed enough to not have to endure what most dying people endure-leaving loved ones behind. But even with His return-there will be those left behind. Have you really ever just took a moment and thought about the what if? What if I get to experience what I’ve read so often in Revelation?

“Look! He comes with the clouds of Heaven. And EVERYONE will see Him. And ALL the nations of the world will mourn for HIM!! Yes! Amen! Rev 1:7 (emphasis mine)

Finally, all those that questioned and scoffed will see HIM!!! There will be no question of WHO HE is! If we are the people chosen to experience prophecy and Gods promises play out…we are the blessed ones to witness and hear the trumpets, the white horse He arrives on, HIS blazing eyes of fire, His blinding white robe, the armies of Heaven that surrounds Him…the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS!!! If we are the people that experience HIS return we will be the ones allowed to see the “Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.” Glory!! How exciting. Does that excite you? If not-it’s time to deal with the reason you’re not excited.

I’ve been, I consider, blessed to have reason to have thought about death and dying lots, there’s no escaping (not obsessed, just a realist). I’ve had time to think of Heaven and meeting Jesus. I’ve questioned the process of death and dying-is it better to know you’re dying  or better for it to be sudden? I have my thoughts on both scenarios. Now,  with all the end time talk-I’ve thought about this question…which is better-to have Jesus waiting on me to enter Heaven with arms stretched wide to receive me or the experience of me waiting on Him, seeing His beautiful return with my arms stretched wide to receive Him? The way I see it- I WIN either way.

I think the one thing that makes me anxious is the question of-have I done enough for His Kingdom, have I proclaimed His Name, have I shown others Him through me? Will all those I love be with me in eternity-no matter the way in which we get there?

For now, as the media hypes a war, and all things politics, and as people argue on whether Israel’s people are Gods chosen or not, and people fight over if this is actually end times or nah, we all should follow Jesus’ teaching…”Be dressed, ready for service and keep your lamps burning as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let Him in the moment HE arrives and knocks.” Luke 12:35-36 Are you ready??

How can I not be so excited and sitting in anticipation for my Bridegroom, the ONE that has died for me, rose for me and is coming back to get me!!🤍
